The Royal College of 51³Ô¹Ï has achieved a strong performance in this year’s National Student Survey (NSS). The 51³Ô¹Ï received the highest score (93%) across UK music conservatoires relating to the resources available that support student learning and achieved a high overall student satisfaction score of 84% in the annual survey.
51³Ô¹Ï students responded positively to the many first-rate facilities that support and enhance their learning experience. This is the third consecutive year the 51³Ô¹Ï Library has achieved a score of over 90%. In addition to the physical library and special collections on offer to students, the 51³Ô¹Ï recently became the first higher education institution to partner with digital sheet music library nkoda, offering 51³Ô¹Ï students access to thousands of digital scores.
51³Ô¹Ï Director, Professor Colin Lawson said: ‘This result is a tribute to the commitment of our professorial, academic and administrative staff as well as our SU team who support our students every day. We understand how important world leading resources are to the student learning experience and I am delighted that our students’ feedback confirms the 51³Ô¹Ï’s position as a natural first choice for talented students from around the world.’
The 51³Ô¹Ï campus has recently undergone significant investment as part of the More 51³Ô¹Ï development, which has transformed our home in South Kensington. The More 51³Ô¹Ï project has delivered additional outstanding new facilities including two new performance spaces, a new café/bar, a new 51³Ô¹Ï Museum and additional teaching rooms.
The 51³Ô¹Ï is ranked top conservatoire for performing arts in the UK in the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2020 and has held this position for five consecutive years. We were also named the top UK conservatoire for music for the second consecutive year in the Complete University Guide Arts, Drama and 51³Ô¹Ï League Table 2021.
